This winter, join Pinniped Kayak for essential kayak safety lessons at the Downeast Family YMCA pool in Ellsworth on Saturday March 7.  New and experienced paddlers alike will benefit from this class covering wet-exits, self-rescues, assisted-rescues, and foundations of rolling/bracing.  Every paddler who takes to the water without a guide needs to be proficient at rescues, so join us for a tune-up in the tropical warm water of an indoor pool.  It's a great start to a safer summer paddling season.  

For kayakers wishing to expand their paddling horizons this summer, we recommend learning rescues in the pool with us, and returning for a Sea Kayak Fundamentals course once warmer weather arrives.  Register for both, and receive a $20 discount.
