Journey - Baker Island

This Journey, departing from the southern shores of Mount Desert Island, will wind through the island communities of Great and Little Cranberry Island.  We'll visit Baker Island, part of Acadia National Park.  But this trip is as much about improving your trip planning and boat handling skills, as it is about the sights.  Though we'll be covering a bit more distance than we do in our regular classes, there will still be time spent working on stroke efficiency, navigation, and other topics that will enhance the journey and make you a safer, more self-sufficient paddler.

Participants should have basic rescue skills, and be capable of paddling 10-15 miles in a day.  Previous completion of Sea Kayak Fundamentals or equivalent experience is recommended.

$140 per person, includes equipment                           Contact us for details or to sign up
